SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.

We are currently looking to recruit an Sales Team Leader who will act as first point of contact for their Sales Team and an escalation point for our customer base, delivering the ultimate in customer service whilst managing an effective and profitable sales function.

What does the role involve?

As Sales Team Leader, you will ensure they are meeting set KPI's and effectively managing customer expectations. You will become a leader in your field and will ensure all pricing is managed in line with SIG guidelines whilst ensuring the customer is receiving the best quality service from your team. In this position, you will oversee, support and give guidance to the existing sales team with hands-on approach. It is a role that will see you collaborating closely with your counterparts in transport and logistics as well as managing the expectations of the Sales Office Manager and the Regional Sales Manager regarding the outputs of the internal sales team.

The successful candidate will require:

  • The proven ability to lead a successful sales team
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Evidence of exceeding targets and KPI's
  • Strong IT skills (Excel in particular) are essential. Experience of using Salesforce would offer an advantage
