Reed Talent Solutions are working with the Metropolitan Police, who are looking for a PMO Manager to lead and manage tactical projects within the OSS Criminal Exhibit Change Programme. This role requires a professional who can develop consistent standards and achieve results across various work streams, providing leadership and progress reporting to ensure the successful delivery of the programme.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced PMO Manager with current SC or CTC clearance and will understanding of RAID strategies and the Agile methodology.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Undertake all aspects of project management reporting, monitoring risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Track benefits and budgets, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Provide accurate information flow to senior decision-makers for timely and effective decision-making.
  • Lead and manage the OSS Criminal Exhibit Change Programme tactical projects.
  • Develop and maintain project management and PMO standards, processes, and documentation.
  • Engage confidently with Operational Support Services (OSS) and other partners at the required level.
  • Manage a portfolio of up to 10 projects, ensuring alignment with the OSS business plan.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in complex project environments with a variety of planning, control, and governance tools.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other document sharing/storage systems.
  • Ability to collate and analyse qualitative and quantitative data for data-driven decisions and performance management.
  • Highly developed project management and PMO skills, with the ability to deliver at pace and to deadline.
  • Experience in a large and complex organisation, preferably within a Portfolio Management environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate, influence, and provide challenge when required.
  • Line management experience, with direct responsibility for at least 1-2 employees.
  • Systematic, with attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate complex project and management information to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Knowledge:

  • A project management and PMO professional with expertise in complex project environments using a variety of planning, control and governance tools.
  • Deep understanding of how things really work in the organisation and understanding the barriers to change.
  • A good practical knowledge of MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as other document sharing/ storage systems.
