One of our public sector clients is looking for a Developer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis.
You will have the following skills and experience:

Commercial experience with the following tech:

Java 17+

Springboot microservices

Data modelling and SQL development, ideally PostgreSQL

REST APIs
-
AWS
-
Modern DevOps and CI/CD practices including pipeline deployment

Delivering software in high-performing cross-functional teams

Designing and implementing technical solutions for software development projects

Developing with Digital First or GDS quality standards
-
Microservice and event-based architectures
-
Using human-centered, research driven, inclusive design practices.

Unit testing / test automation frameworks
-
Grafana
-
Formal XP engineering techniques
-
Infrastructure as code
-
Desirable tech includes - HTML/CSS, React, Java Script, Cypress, Jenkin/Docker, OpenShift, AWS Lambda, S3, Aurora, API Gateway.
This role is predominantly remote; however, you will be required on-site in Edinburgh or Glasgow on occasion for company meetings. Offering a 6-month contract with possible extensions and a competitive day rate, outside ir35.
