Part-Qualified Management Accountant
6-month FTC
Salary: £38,000-£40,000pa
Location: North Manchester
A large manufacturing organisation based in North Manchester are seeking a part-qualified Management Accountant to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. This role will be reporting directly to the FC and is a great opportunity for a candidate who is immediately available or due to finish a contract soon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly profit & loss accounting and profit & loss variance analysis
- Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
- Preparing and reconciliation of the monthly balance sheet
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Providing financial recommendation to management
- Some involvement with payroll preparation
- Compiling expenditure reports and working in conjunction with departments to set and establish budgets
- Complete bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- A proven track record of success within a similar role
- QBE or working towards ACCA/ CIMA
- Thorough understanding of management accounts and month end procedures
- Highly organised and analytical
- Ability to work to deadlines and within a busy and fast paced accounts team
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative
- Experience using Navision would be highly advantageous
