Our HR team is looking for a proactive and ambitious recruitment professional to join our growing team in Peterborough. We are looking for an individual who is ready to progress as an Assistant Recruitment Advisor and take on a varied, busy role with us. You will have ideally gained in-house recruitment experience, managing the full recruitment process, and have a successful track record of sourcing talent through different methods. In addition, we are looking for someone who is keen to be part of a hardworking and fun team, with a proactive work ethic!

We offer flexible working arrangements and a competitive salary package. The role will be based in our Peterborough office (working Wednesday to Friday in the office) with some remote working available.

Main Tasks:

The role will focus on three main areas: Recruitment, Early Careers, and Strategy. Below is an overview of the main responsibilities (a full job description is available on request):

Recruitment:

  • Responsible for the recruitment process across our divisions including Rural and Business Services
  • Advise hiring managers on the recruitment process to ensure best practice
  • Attend divisional and ad-hoc team meetings to update and advise on recruitment, providing data and statistics as requested
  • Work towards the Recruitment and 2030 People Strategy's KPIs
  • Work with the Senior/Recruitment Advisors on ad-hoc recruitment campaigns
  • Track and liaise with the Recruitment Manager to support the development of talent pipelines
  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter tool to maximise direct sourcing and educate hiring managers on utilising their LinkedIn networks to attract talent
  • Ensure requests to recruit are processed correctly and approvals are in place before interviews are conducted

Early Careers:

  • Assist in managing the graduate recruitment process and strategy with support from the team, utilising relevant attraction methods
  • Coordinate responses and tracking for graduate recruitment in a timely and effective manner
  • Organise, facilitate, and attend assessment centres across the UK
  • Attend and conduct skills presentations and careers fairs with universities to develop relationships and generate on-campus awareness of graduate opportunities
  • Support with updates to graduate marketing materials
  • Co-manage the internship recruitment process – advertising, coordinating ambassadors, reviewing applications, interviews, etc.

Strategy:

  • Assist the Recruitment Manager with EDI reports and initiatives
  • Support the implementation of recruitment strategies with line managers, including platforms to advertise with, drafting adverts, and conducting LinkedIn campaigns for attraction
  • Liaise with marketing and advise on promotional campaigns, including Ceros pages, internal marketing, etc.
  • Support the Recruitment Manager with generating and implementing new initiatives to increase the firm's employer brand

What will it take to be successful?

The successful recruitment professional will have ideally gained experience in an in-house environment and have a strong knowledge of recruitment cycles. They will be proactive in bringing new ideas to the team and use their initiative to attract new talent for challenging roles. As this is a busy role, it is important that they can prioritise workloads and communicate effectively both internally and externally. They will be a team player, who will contribute and support the HR team with exciting projects and ideas. Finally, it is desirable that this recruitment professional has Level 3 CIPD or is interested in working towards this in the future.
