Our client is seeking an experienced Site Services Engineer who has previous experience within the passive fire protection market to join their business, they have recently been ranked one of the Sunday Times best places to work.
The main purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate site-related activities and ensuring that surveys, inspections, training and data management are conducted alongside effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage workload which will be scheduled in coordination with the Site Services Supervisor and Coordinator.
- Deliver customer training whilst on site.
- Engage with clients, statutory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Complete site surveys via a reporting app.
- Manager and report the project data.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and training sessions.
- Ensure processes are clearly defined.
- Conduct detailed inspections of installed passive fire protection systems in line with relevant standards and specifications.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address any concerns
- Stay up to date with passive fire protection regulations, codes and best practice.
The Person
- Background in engineering, façade management or installation is advantageous.
- Previous experience and knowledge of the passive fire protection industry (desirable)
- Knowledge of external wall construction (low- and high-rise buildings)
- Previous experience dealing with contractors onsite
- Familiar with audit software
- Understanding of site survey and inspections.
- Deliver onsite customer training.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw insights from the data found
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to change- for example adapting to changes in regulations and standards.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
