Empowering learning are working with a school based in Caterham, Surrey who are seeking a dedicated and dynamic English teacher to join them immediately. This amazing secondary school in Caterham, Surrey has a vibrant and supportive department which will allow you to have the opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for scientific inquiry among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive english lessons for students at various levels, including Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and experiment.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies and methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize innovative resources, technology, and practical demonstrations to enhance the learning experience and stimulate interest in science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, assessments, and educational programs that align with national standards and promote academic excellence.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individualized learning goals through targeted interventions and enrichment activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration, respect, and academic success.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities to contribute to the overall school community and personal growth

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in English Education.
  • Specialization in English
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably in a UK school setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for education, innovation, and lifelong learning.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and beyond.
  • Ability to adapt to changing educational trends, technologies, and pedagogies.
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
