Specialist Practitioner - Autism

This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.

Day to day duties of the role

  • Proactively delivery the Specialist Support Model of inclusive practice and implement the SEND Code of Practice
  • Planning and reviewing individual programmes of support ensuring all aspects of provision and support specified within a learner's ILP and/or Education Health and Care Plan is in place and the progress is effectively tracked and monitored
  • Carrying out high quality Initial Needs Assessments and diagnostic assessments along with other appropriate assessments to establish support needs and effectively track progress leading to successful outcomes
  • Arranging and deliver transition programmes to ensure seamless transitions between FE and HE

Required skills and qualifications

  • LDD Specialism e.g. foundation degree in LDD or other specialist qualification.
  • Working Knowledge of Additional Support Funding
  • Relevant and Successful experience in learning support
  • Skills in the development and implementation of Individual learning programmes
