We are looking for a temporary Finance Administrator/bookkeeper to assist a TV/ Film production prop company based in Southall. This is a full-time, office-based, temporary role ongoing until October. The working hours are 8.30-5.30 (1 hour unpaid lunch) with parking onsite. We're looking for a Finance Assistant who's proactive, organised, and loves a good process. This is a varied, hands-on finance role where you'll support both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, helping keep things running smoothly and efficiently across the business. Your duties will include:
- Updating bank statements & reconciling accounts
- Sending out invoices and applying purchase orders
- Handling customer queries (phone/email)
- Credit control: sending statements, chasing payments
- Setting up new customers and taking credit card payments
- Supporting revenue recognition tasks
- Posting supplier invoices
- Ensuring timely payments and managing creditors
- Processing supplier payment runs
- Scanning and filing invoices
- Assisting with year-end and audit tasks
- Spotting opportunities to improve finance processes
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- 1–2 years' experience in a finance assistant/admin role
- A basic understanding of debits, credits and accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills (including formulas, VLOOKUPs, manipulating data)
- Experience with Sage50 (or similar accounting software)
- High attention to detail and professional handling of sensitive data
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a small team
