We are currently recruiting a highly skilled and motivated Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team on a Panama Day Shift.
Working 12 hour days from 7am to 7pm on the below rotation:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Week 2- Wednesday and Thursday
Averaging 42 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections of machinery and equipment in our food production facility, focusing on electrical systems.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize production downtime and ensure seamless operations.
- Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks to reduce the risk of equipment failures and maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the production team to improve machinery efficiency, productivity, and overall quality control.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment performance, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in maintenance engineering within the FMCG food production sector.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, preferably in an FMCG food production environment.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, control panels, PLCs, and automation systems.
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions efficiently and effectively.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance techniques, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Understanding of mechanical systems and experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear instructions and reports.
Qualifications:
- A relevant technical qualification (e.g., apprenticeship, HND, HNC, or equivalent) in electrical engineering or a related field and experience in a similar role.
- Additional certifications in areas such as PLC programming or electrical safety regulations are advantageous.
