Salary: £85,000 - £90,000 per annum (depending on experience) + additional benefits
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 36 hours per week | Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 5:15pm; Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (flexible within core hours)
About the Role
I am seeking a dynamic and innovative Group IT Manager to join my clients team at their manufacturing base in Woking. You will play a crucial role in both the operational and strategic aspects of our IT functions, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day IT operations while spearheading modernization efforts across our global network. This position requires occasional travel to our branches in the EU and US and involves close collaboration with all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Manage day-to-day IT issues within a busy global design, manufacturing, and sales company. Oversee the outsourced service provider handling UK and European server/user support.
- Strategic Oversight: Drive modernization of key functional areas, assessing and implementing AI & Automation technologies to enhance operations.
- ERP Management: Administer, manipulate, and manage the INFOR Sightline ERP package, coordinating with a specialist contractor for new integrations.
- Procurement Authority: Govern the procurement of hardware and software, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness for both UK and overseas branches.
- Automation Projects: Lead automation initiatives including sales order processing, manufacturing scheduling, machine loading, and production engineering.
- Future Planning: Upgrade existing ERP systems, CRM software, and manage global telecom systems, establishing standards and guidelines for global operations.
What I am Looking For
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an ERP Systems Administrator in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven supplier management experience (minimum 3 years).
- Proficiency in BI & Database Management (minimum 3 years).
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate at Board Level (minimum 1 year).
- Excellent communication skills across all business levels.
- Proactive, self-driven, and strong sense of ownership.
Highly Desirable Skills:
- Hands-on experience in IT Operations (minimum 3 years).
- Expertise in modern report management tools (minimum 3 years).
- Project Management experience in software/hardware projects (minimum 3 years).
Knowledge Required:
- ERP systems architecture
- MS Office Suite
- Windows Server
- Microsoft Exchange
- DBA including SQL
- Understanding of AI/Automation trends
