Finance Business Partner, East Hertfordshire
£80- £90kpa plus great benefits including a car allowance (£5k), 25% bonus potential
Our client, a rapidly expanding construction business have created this new role to be responsible for reporting and giving insight on the operational and project financial performance of the business, monitoring the effectiveness of key business processes and taking on improvement projects, as well as assisting with any potential merger and acquisition activity.
Key Duties:-
- Attend monthly project review meetings to understand and report on project positions traded and any risks or opportunities.
- Review and interrogate project trading positions based on end life value and cost.
- Work closely with the Commercial Director on pipeline opportunities. Review full year outcome to business plan. Provide analysis of key project movement.
- Introduce process to credit check clients / suppliers and make recommendations to mitigate any risk.
- Support executives with reporting project performance improvements.
- Production of monthly accounts and board pack.
- Produce accurate weekly and long-term cash flow forecasts and monitor actual performance.
- Oversee payroll processing and reporting.
- Oversee the payment process for subcontractor payments.
- Ensure balance reconciliations are completed monthly and reviewed to close out any actions.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement enforce financial controls to create best working practices.
The successful candidate will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) and ideally come from a construction background or a business used to long term contracts. You will be leading the financial forecasting process and act as a true business partner to not only the finance team but the wider commercial team.
This is very much an exciting time for the business as they go from strength to strength and are on course to close to double revenues over the next few years.
