Business Development Manager (International Recruitment)

Due to continued growth and ambition ESS have immediate requirements for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to work within our international recruitment business located in Ilford, Essex, UK.

The BDM will play a key role in the growth plans of ESS and will spearhead our goals for increased revenue to aid our expansion.

This position may require frequent business travel within the UK & EU.

Reporting to: Operations Director

Attributes of the Business Development Manager

  • Highly personable with a flair for building and maintaining relationships.
  • Accomplished salesperson with a track record in securing business and driving sales.
  • Resilient and focused.
  • Experience within the recruitment, construction, or related industries
  • High proficiency in MS Office (word, Excel, Outlook etc)

The Role of the Business Development Manager

  • Drive sales and increase revenue by securing assignments for temporary labour to be placed on projects in the UK and Europe
  • Research and identify prospective clients and contact them to promote the unique services of ESS using a multitude of sales techniques including cold calling.
  • Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and sales.
  • Nurture & develop new customer relationships.
  • Devise strategies, presentations, and pitches to secure business
  • Develop and document efficient and effective sales processes and procedures
  • Growing, managing, and training a business development team
  • Onboard clients in line with company policy and ensure thorough flow of information to recruitment managers and accounts teams.
  • Arrange and attend regular meetings with new and existing clients.
  • Attend networking opportunities including conferences and industry events.
