Area to be covered: Midlands
Remuneration: £35,000-£45,000 Neg. + £10,000 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Plant Hire Powered Access will involve:
- Field sales position selling the hire of scissor lifts, cherry pickers and low-level platforms
- Targeting various construction contractors, typically dealing with site managers etc.
- 70% new business development, 30% account management role
- Targeted to achieve 200-300 machines per week
- Developing business through new leads and new contacts
- Identifying and nurturing lapsed customers
- Assisting with marketing and promotional projects
- Attending site surveys when required
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Plant Hire Powered Access with:
- 3 years+ plant hire field sales experience
- Ideally powered access experience
- Preferably with construction contractor customer knowledge on the patch
- A track record of new business development in the construction hire sector
- Ability to build strong relationships with operational teams to support customer's needs
- Structured approach to territory management
- Excellent relationships building and communication skills
- Team player with can-do approach
- Must have sold flooring products
- Proven track record in field sales with a manufacturer or distributor
- Must have sold into flooring contractors
- Drive, ambition and strong communication skills
- Proven industry knowledge, effectively able to "plug in and play"
- Autonomous in nature
- Ability to do own measurements as required
- Numerically strong, understanding of margins, discounts etc
