Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure we act in accordance with our policies and procedures in all aspects of compliance including issuing orders, data entry and monitoring, chasing certificates and remedial work.
  • Oversee the monitoring, analysis and reporting of compliance performance (including all statutory reporting requirements) for the Asset Directorate, Executive team and Board as required.
  • Oversee data analysis including reconciliations, inspections, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data with the goal of, informing conclusions, and supporting decision-making in streamlining functionality.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and practices comply with the relevant legislation (eg GSIUR) and identify and implement any changes as required.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure excellent standards of customer service are maintained, and monitor delivery of their contracted continually reviewing data and processes to ensure they are streamlined whilst meeting our legal obligations.
  • Ensure all property compliance data is logged, actioned and recorded to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements for health and safety purposes.
  • Work closely with the Housing Services and Development teams to ensure we are meeting the standards required in the areas for which they are responsible.
  • Resolve access issues with customers and ensure appointments for colleagues and contractors to visit customers' homes where appropriate are made and legal process are initiated in a timely manner for court injunctions as required.

Person Specification

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
  • Understanding and knowledge of relevant compliance and health and safety legislation and the application of appropriate policies and procedures to support compliance.
  • Experience of working at senior level, leading and managing a team.
  • Experience of building effective partnerships and links with a range of external organisations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks applicable to landlord statutory compliance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent IT skill, especially Microsoft Office suites and the ability to learn in house IT systems
  • Proven experience of managing databases including the development of processes and reporting
  • Detailed analytical abilities in data analysis & environments
  • Self-starter, proven experience of working independently
  • Related IT knowledge and use of technical analysis tools
  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and provide insight
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Ability to understand financial information including budgets.
  • Able to develop effective control system( including ability to ensure comprehensive audit trails are maintained and continuous improvement in outputs and outcomes
