Metering Technician - (temporary contract initially for 12 weeks - then reviewed)
- Annual Salary: £27,453 + potential on-target earnings
- Location: Bedford (Candidates need to be located within 30 minutes of this location)
- Job Type: Full-time - 37 hours per week - Flexible hours between of 6:30 to 20:00, including some hours on a Saturday when required to meet customer needs
As a Water Metering Technician, you'll enjoy the independence of managing your own workload with the backing of a well-established organisation. This role is ideal for those who are customer-focused and enjoy being active throughout the day.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Obtain accurate readings from water meters.
- Carry out meter exchanges (comprehensive training provided).
- Collect meter data efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a professional image at all times.
- Walk between 3 to 8 miles per day as part of your routine.
- Use a handheld computer to log work, requiring basic IT skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in retail or hospitality is advantageous, particularly roles that involve being on your feet.
- Strong focus on delivering customer satisfaction.
- Ability to present a professional image (uniform and van will be provided).
- Physical fitness to manage the demands of walking several miles daily.
- Basic IT skills to operate handheld devices for work purposes.
