Library Cleaner

We are looking for a dedicated Library Cleaner to join our team at Ecclesall Library, starting on the 9th of September. This part-time role involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the library environment, ensuring it remains a welcoming and hygienic space for all visitors and staff. The hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 10am, 10 hours per week.
Day to Day of the role:
- Perform floor care duties such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning carpets and hard surfaces.
- Carry out surface cleaning tasks including dusting, spraying, and wiping down tables, chairs, counters, and other surfaces.
- Remove trash from office areas, restrooms, kitchens, and lounges, ensuring bins are emptied and clean.
- Maintain restrooms by cleaning and sanitizing all areas, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
- Clean windows in various rooms such as conference rooms, study areas, and offices to keep them clear and smudge-free.
- Report any issues such as the need for repairs or replacements to management promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good physical condition to perform cleaning tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a keen eye for detail.
