Director of Technology & Innovation - Bournemouth - 24 hours per week - Monday to Wednesday - £ 90k (full time equivalent)

This is your chance to step into the role of Director of Technology & Innovation and be a part of a team that is passionately dedicated to creating a brighter future for individuals and communities alike.

As part of the Executive team, you will be acting as the Lead for AI technology & digital systems, playing a pivotal role in steering the charity towards technological excellence and innovation. You will be shaping and executing a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns seamlessly with the charity objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

Innovative technological solutions:

Spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge technological solutions aimed at driving growth, embedding into all facets of the organisation and enhancing operational efficiency.

Strategic IT development

Develop and execute a forward-thinking technology strategy that harmonises with the broader goals of the charity. Drive digital transformation initiatives by leveraging emerging technology to streamline processes, elevate customer experiences, and uncover new digitised opportunities for growth.

Stakeholder collaboration

Collaborate closely with service divisions, (Education and Adult Services) departments, and external partners to gain insights into their unique needs and challenges.

Compliance and cybersecurity

Ensure strict adherence to relevant regulations and cybersecurity measures.

Proactively identify and address risks and vulnerabilities to safeguard the charity's digital assets and maintain data integrity.

Team development

Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.

Innovation

Introduce and mentor colleagues use and development of emerging technologies particularly in the area of systems efficiencies.

Technology implementation and management

Oversee the successful implementation and management of technology solutions, ensuring they align with charity objectives and deliver tangible value.

Qualifications and skills

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within IT and technology management.
  • In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, AI, and IT trends.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align technology initiatives with organisational objectives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Thorough understanding of cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation and delivering innovative technology solutions.
