Job Summary:
As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading our sales strategy and execution, driving revenue growth, and expanding our client base within the public sector. This role demands a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of data-related sales and consultancy services, combined with a high level of empathy and the ability to build strong relationships with public sector clients. For the right candidate, this position offers a clear progression path to C-Suite level within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand our market presence in the public sector.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with public sector clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored data consultancy solutions.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape, using insights to refine sales strategies.
- Sales Operations: Oversee the sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure efficient and effective sales processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Product Development, and Client Services, to ensure a seamless client experience and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Empathy and Client Advocacy: Demonstrate empathy in all client interactions, advocating for their needs and ensuring their success through our data consultancy services.

Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the data analytics sector, with a strong focus on the public sector. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Expertise: Deep understanding of data-related sales and consultancy services, with the ability to translate complex data solutions into compelling value propositions for public sector clients.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
- Empathy: High level of empathy and emotional intelligence, with a client-centric approach to sales and relationship management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Progression: Ambition and potential for progression to C-Suite level, with a demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
