Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team, working with a small class of Year 1 children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically focusing on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and external agencies to support student progress.
- Monitor and assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Promote the social and emotional development of students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
- Experience working with children with SEMH and ASD needs.
- Strong understanding of effective SEN teaching strategies and legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
