Salary: MPS (Main Pay Scale)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team, working with a small class of Year 1 children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically focusing on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and external agencies to support student progress.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Promote the social and emotional development of students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH and ASD needs.
  • Strong understanding of effective SEN teaching strategies and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
