Our Client, Peterborough Council, is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join their Targeted Youth Support Service.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Adolescence /Exploitation experience a must – Case holding role currently averaging 15 to 20 cases – Will reduce with new starters in the team
  • Social Workers, who can make a difference to young people who are at risk of entering care/homelessness, are vulnerable to exploitation, contextual risks and have experienced trauma, which has impacted on their physical and emotional wellbeing?
  • The Team is part of an integrated service which means we are closely aligned with the Youth Justice Service (YJS) and exploitation services.
  • As a result of these close links, as a Social Worker you will be working alongside police officers, health workers, psychologists, education workers, substance misuse workers, as well as other Social Workers (of course!) and many others.
  • Hybrid - 3 days in the office/2 WFH

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years' post qualified experience.
