Mechanical Design Engineer
Previous Automotive experience is not required
- The business can consider a Mechanical Engineering background from other industry sectors that have exposure to complex components, and engineering systems. This could be from aerospace, rail, marine, or other complex manufacturing sectors.
The role is working on bespoke and custom engineering projects for the restoration and manufacturing of classic car parts, components and assemblies/fixings. Project work could range from mechanical systems layout, replacement clutches, drive trains, gearboxes etc. Its extremely varied and wide ranging.
The preferred design package used is Solidworks, experience of this this is essential. They would potentially consider candidates with other 3D CAD packages (such as Inventor or NX), if it was coupled with significant engineering or automotive experience.
The business is open to candidates with mid-level to senior engineering experience. The package is in the
region of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
, there is flexibility at the top end for candidates that have a high level of experience with similar technical applications.
The role is based full-time on their Waterlooville site, 7.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
