Process Control Technician

to join their team in Dungannon. The successful candidate will be responsible for process setup, maintenance, and repair of processing equipment and machinery. They will contribute to efficiency improvements through optimised equipment setup and preventative maintenance, helping to reduce downtime. Additionally, they will monitor processes and equipment to ensure product quality and throughput meet specifications.

Main Duties of the Process Control Technician:

  • Ensure the plant is fully operational and ready to meet the production schedule.
  • Confirm all key process input variables are controlled and within specified limits.
  • Maintain control of all set points and address any alarms immediately.
  • Document all alarm events and record the corrective actions taken.
  • Inform the General Manager and technical support team if any critical alarms do not respond to corrective actions (escalate to PM and Maintenance team urgently).
  • Maintain consistent process control for the metering of raw material ingredients to ensure product formulation consistency and finished product quality.
  • Continuously review all process inputs simultaneously to ensure consistent product quality and equipment performance.
  • Monitor weekly costs and losses related to additives and report to the S.M.T in daily and weekly meetings

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSE's including English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience working in a process or equipment setup role in a high-volume production environment.
  • Experience in carrying out mechanical setup, changeovers, and alignments on high volume processing equipment.
  • Experience following procedures, systems, and processes.
  • Experience monitoring and adjusting process variables to ensure process is running in control.
  • Experience with diagnoses of process and equipment issues with effective and timely corrective action.
  • Competent user of Microsoft office E.g., Word and Excel.

Desirable Criteria:

  • NVQ/HNC or equivalent in Engineering or relevant subjects.
  • Knowledge and experience of SCADA control systems.

Type of work: Permanent, Full-time.

The successful candidate will work the following rotating day and night shift Pattern:

  • Week 1/Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 6.00pm
  • Week 2/Night Shift: Monday to Wednesday 6.00pm to 6.00am.
