Tax Semi-Senior

The Firm:

A well regarded Top 50 accountancy firm with a growing presence across the north of England are looking to strengthen their emerging local team with the appointment of a Tax Semi-Senior.

The firm work with a wide client base including UHNWIs, owner-managed businesses, celebrities, non-doms and other leading professionals.

The Role:

Working as part of a small local team both in the office and from home you will be guided by the Tax Manager with both your training and ability to achieve your career goals.

We are looking for an individual who is able to partner with clients and develop meaningful relationships in order to become a trusted advisor. You will be responsible for the preparation of various financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards.

You will be preparing personal tax returns, partnership tax returns, P11D's and PSA's for a variety of managers, taking ownership of all aspects of the tax return process and client advisory. You will be tasked with pro actively managing budgets and time reporting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of billable hours and adherence to agreed-upon budgets and time-lines.

You will be encouraged to foster strong client relationships by consistently delivering excellent client service, maintaining professionalism, and effectively communicating findings and recommendations. Continuously enhancing your technical knowledge, skills, and industry expertise through self-study, firm-provided training, and on-the-job learning opportunities.

Experience Required:

We are looking for for:

  • ATT Part Qualified or similar
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years relevant UK work experience
  • Preparing personal tax returns
  • Thorough knowledge of current accounting standards, techniques and best practice
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and client relationship management skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to provide guidance/training to junior staff members
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
