Location: Weston-Super-Mare
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday 40 hours a week either 8:30am-4:30pm or 9am-5pm can be flexible

Job Purpose: The role holder is part of the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) team, and is responsible for the development, control, and maintenance of the company QMS in compliance with ISO standards, the
coordination, verification, and presentation of the business KPIs and related statistical information through the reporting processes. They are a champion of quality solutions, continuous improvement in both operational and QMS processes, and the assurance of compliance and lean practises across the business.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team develop, establish, and maintain a QMS, compliant with the ISO Standard.
  • Lead and support the maintenance of the business processes, quality improvements and the related document control.
  • Monitor and inform the need for improvement by setting up and implementing the internal audit schedule and through reporting of findings.
  • Record and control actions from the internal and external audits to ensure any non- conformities are corrected and to promote continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate and deliver training in the company QMS and in the document control process to ensure understanding and compliance with the ISO standard.
  • Provide QMS and KPI reports across the business, both regularly and for ad hoc requests, which inform the businesses Senior Leadership Team on the status of business performance and the compliance with the Clients' expectations, the operational permits condition and the ISO requirements.
  • Collate, submit, and audit returns to regulators e.g.
  • Recognise and respond to trends, variances, and fluctuations in reported data to help identify issues and challenges and to make sure the appropriate operational action is taken.
  • Support the maintenance and the improvements of the company operational IT systems and provide guidance for users.
  • Promote and develop a culture of continuous performance improvement through the collaboration with and the support of the key operational functions.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that any inputs and communication required are delivered on time and any follow up actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Continued professional development and keeping updated on legislative requirements and changes in relation to role.
  • Provide cover for the SHEQ Manager in their absence.
  • Conduct any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the Company may require you to undertake from time to time.

Education

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • ISO internal auditor certificate

Experience

  • Operational delivery and implementation of Quality
  • Management Systems
  • Proven record of delivering continuous improvement within a service environment
  • Experience of producing and analysing reports using Microsoft suite and internal IT systems

Technical

  • Continual professional development in relation to quality management systems
  • Competence in creating training materials.
  • Ability to collate, analyse and present business performance data in the agreed format

Skills

  • IT literate including Microsoft Office suite and business systems.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills
  • Analytical with the ability to measure and take corrective actions

General

  • Full driving licence
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work unsupervised.
