Description

The following responsibilites are not exhaustive, but you can expect to be responsible for;

  • Offering expert tax consultancy services for all aspects of clients' tax operations, covering compliance, reporting, and planning.
  • Devise and execute efficient tax planning strategies, with the aim of optimising tax positions and minimising tax risks for clients.
  • Supervise the preparation of tax filings for corporation tax etc, ensuring adherence to UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide professional advice on the tax implications of various business strategies, conduct tax risk assessments, and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures for clients.
  • Stay abreast of changes in UK tax legislation and offer well-informed guidance on their impact to clients.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and client-focused service by developing, mentoring, and managing junior tax consultants.
  • Coordinate and support clients during tax audits conducted by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
  • Act as a representative for clients in their interactions with HMRC, effectively managing relationships with tax authorities on their behalf.
  • Assist clients in establishing and maintaining internal controls to facilitate tax accounting and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to align tax strategies with clients' business objectives.

Profile

  • Holding ACCA, ACA, or CTA qualification.
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in a tax consultancy role, with a specific focus on corporation tax, and/or income tax, and capital gains tax.
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK tax code, compliance, and procedures is essential.
  • Strong ability to handle multiple client projects simultaneously and deliver results within given deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as the candidate will be required to effectively convey complex tax strategies to both clients and internal teams.
  • Integrity, attention to detail, and exceptional analytical skills are highly valued attributes for this position.
  • Familiarity with tax software and accounting systems is expected.
