Children & Families - Social Worker
Bristol City Council are looking to expand their current team. The Children & Families team is looking for a Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. This Children & Family Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.
- The position involves undertaking assessments under S17 & S47 and then working with children in need, with children on a CP plan and with families in pre-proceedings or in the court system.
- The service is offered by small units made up of a Team Manager, 3 Social Workers, a Family Support Worker and an Assistant.
- The teams sit together, and we do not hot-desk.
- There is good management support and many opportunities for joint working.
- The city is vibrant and diverse, and the work is varied.
- There are good Early Intervention Services and support from voluntary agencies in the city.
- We use a strengths based approach and systemic principals in our work with families.
- The recording system is Liquid Logic (LCS)
Requirements / Experience preferred:
- HCPC Registration
- 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
