About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join our dynamic team in a secondary school located in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some teaching responsibilities at Key Stage 5. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to planning, marking, and participating in parents' evenings.

As part of the History department, you will collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach History to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the curriculum requirements.

Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback.

Participate in department meetings and collaborate with colleagues.

Attend parents' evenings and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

Must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History.

Previous experience teaching History in a secondary school setting.

Strong knowledge of the History curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a department.

A valid driving license is preferred.
