WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO LIVES WITHIN A 25 MILE RADIUS OF NUNEATON.
We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Graduate or Junior Sustainability Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Nuneaton where your efforts will significantly contribute to shaping a greener future, this role comes with an annual salary paying up to £35,000 per annum (dependant on experience).
The hiring manager is looking for someone who has a BTEC Higher Nationals in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Some practical experience within Design / Sustainability Engineering would be preferred, but the hiring manager is willing to take someone who is green and has recently graduated.
This role offers a unique blend of creativity, engineering, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on environmental sustainability.
What You Will Do:
- Design and develop sustainable products that align with the company's goals and customer needs.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to enhance the sustainability of products and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into product design.
- Stay abreast of the latest sustainability trends and incorporate innovative solutions.
- Ensure products meet regulatory standards for safety, function, and reliability.
- Provide key sustainability metrics to track and report on environmental impact.
What You Will Bring:
- Demonstrable experience in creating sustainable design solutions, preferably in a product design capacity.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD systems, ideally SolidWorks, and competent with Microsoft packages.
- A BTEC in Engineering, with a preference for higher qualifications in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience in designing with plastic materials and an understanding of machined brass components.
- Excellent technical report writing skills.
