Full time - Shift pattern ( 4 days on/ 4 days off - 12 hours)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Planning Nights Manager to oversee service delivery, scheduling and resource management during night shift for WROL (Water Recycling Operational Logistics). You will be required to have oversight of all planning, control, ensuring the management of day-to-day scheduling and management of operational incidents.

What does it take to be a Planning Nights Manager?

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in logistics or a similar field.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to liaise across departments and manage a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems for scheduling and resource management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, particularly during night shifts.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Health & Safety qualification ( ie NEBOSH)
  • Experience of liquid sewage sludge collection or haulage operational experience

Key duties will include:?

  • Shared control of operational performance in terms of both SLA and profitability?
  • Direct control of scheduling and deployment of resources with respect to internal and external (subcontractor) teams?
  • Production of operational and supplied performance feedback reports (internal and external resources), including liaison with the WROL Operations Manager with respect to highlighting individual driver, supplier and / or subcontractor performance issues?
  • Contract management regarding vehicle supply and maintenance contracts including performance monitoring, review and control processes, to ensure full compliance with AW LGV operative license?
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership, encourages engagement and all-important, open, two-way conversations by completing active management, tracking observations and actions through the active management app?
  • Ensure full Induction and Health & Safety training of team is completed in accordance with Company policies, procedures, standards &/or guidance??
  • Operational training, including driver/operator induction and training with respect to vehicles, plant and equipment including ongoing assessment & corrective action?
  • Responsible for managing compliance with the Operator's License with respect to planning, scheduling & control, fleet, record keeping, reporting &/or other tasks undertaken within the RTS Central Office? ??
