Our client, a leading provider of advanced performance coatings, is seeking a talented Laboratory Technician to join their team at their Head Office and manufacturing facility in Suffolk. As an integral member of the Coatings Technology and Operations teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting various testing and continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Coatings Technology team to provide support in product and production process testing.
  • Assist in the production of laboratory samples and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in research and development projects related to specific products, processes, and manufacturing.
  • Conduct tests to ensure product quality in accordance with the company's quality standards.
  • Prepare official test reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Support testing required by the production facility to ensure process controls are achieved.
  • Drive performance improvements by actively engaging in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting activities to rectify deficiencies in coating processes and process lines.
  • Interpret test results and effectively communicate findings.
  • Support the development and maintenance of systems for recording and monitoring product performance.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good administrative and IT skills.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to make a difference.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not required. Full training will be provided.
  • A-levels in science-related subjects or equivalent work experience.
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
