Quality Assurance Analyst

In this role our client is looking for are looking for a talented Quality Assurant Analyst to join them in Manchester. You will be joining a newly formed cross functional engineering team with a huge appetite to grow. They follow truly agile methodologies that have their people at the very center of their ethos. This role is unique, as the successful candidate will be a part of the founding members of the department who will help fostering and growing a positive culture - you will doubtless have ambitions to grow and expand with the business.

THIS ROLE PAYS UP TO £40,000 AND IS ON SITE 5 DAYS A WEEK

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test applications to the highest level on web and mobile devices
  • Maintain and improve testing practise
  • Establishing a clearly defined testing scope
  • Able to investigate production issues, to its root cause.
  • Assure that acceptance criteria are met, or descoped with acceptable results.
  • Assure that releases are of high quality and act as approval to deploy.
  • Collaborate with the product team members to identify and describe defects.
  • Ensure that test packs, tooling and methods are updated and maintained.
  • Support the BA in the elaboration of requirements with the developers.
  • Take responsibility for non-functional testing.
  • Write acceptance criteria for features that are executable.
  • You can measure the coverage of your functional and non-functional testing.
  • Able to deliver proposed plans with confidence
  • To be pro-active in suggesting improvements to the system, or new tools or ways of working
  • Work closely with the team, including stakeholders to recommend and agree technological solutions to meet business requirements
  • Management of personal training requirements
  • Provide provision of estimates that are at an appropriate level of fidelity for the phase in the development lifecycle.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • At least 2 years' Quality Assurance experience
  • Understanding the meaning of quality and able to deliver
  • Understanding pipeline, Continuous Deployment and Integration
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Strong communication skills & stakeholder management
  • Ability to troubleshooting, analyse and problem-solve
  • A passion for always providing the best possible service
  • Being a team player
