Position Summary:
Short term contract - working from drawings to produce thin gauge sheet - specialist sheet metal assemblies. Working with Titanium and Aluminium.
Candidates will have:
- Experience with thin gauge material (ideally aluminium and titanium)
- Experience with counter sinking / drilling / manual sheet metal work
- Experience with shrinking and stretching material
- Dressing and reforming
- Previously worked in precision or specialist engineering/manufacturing - ideally 3mm and below.
Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
- Flattening / resetting angles / knocking over flanges
- Use of press brake, rubber press, fly press to manually form thin gauge material
- Inspection and redressing material
- Shape metal materials using both hand and others tools including: Stretch Forming, Rubber Press, Brake Press, stretching and shrinking machinery.
