Procurement Specialist

Morgan Hunt is excited to be collaborating with a leading Charity organisation, looking to recruit a skilled and proactive Procurement Specialist. This role is pivotal in driving complex procurement initiatives that deliver significant value to the organisation while ensuring excellence in the management of goods, services, and works across the portfolio. The successful candidate will play a critical role in executing complex procurement activities within the Property Services and FM categories. They will lead the delivery of the Procurement Strategy, ensuring that policies and procedures are effectively implemented to achieve significant savings for their portfolio. Their expertise will guide stakeholders through the end-to-end sourcing process, from market appraisal to contract management.

Job Title: Procurement Specialist - Property Services & FM
Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £43,769 - £51,491 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and manage the effective delivery of the Procurement Strategy, policies and procedures and savings programme for your portfolio and provide a professional procurement service to stakeholders providing end to end sourcing project management for stakeholders
  • Understand key commercial drivers and commercial success criteria for procurement undertaken within your portfolio and act as procurement challenge within the procurement governance process and deliver required KPI's. Initiate and develop business cases, reports and other governance papers as required and present to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake and deliver the Savings Programme assigned to your portfolio and deliver cashable savings opportunities for this Category. Undertake the implementation of proactive cost reduction and supplier improvement programmes, as defined by the Head of Procurement in order to deliver best value for the Territory
  • Be responsible for supplier relationships and performance and contract management for your designated contracts and undertake contract management functions.
  • Undertake commercial negotiations with suppliers to ensure best value and service deliver is obtained for TSA
  • Undertake the creation and marketing of category plans and identify where corrective action is needed to ensure procurement issues are managed effectively throughout the procurement cycle.
  • Manage supply market and supplier research activity to support the development of strategic plans and undertake Market appraisal exercises in order to develop and maintain core knowledge sufficient to identify best value options

Personal Specification:

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in the Property and Facilities Services category within a large, complex organisation, and be comfortable delivering against individual savings targets. They will have solid commercial acumen, with a background in running tenders and drafting contracts. Strong project management skills are essential, along with the ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MCIPS Level 4 or actively working towards it, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven success in procurement project planning and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and relevant databases.
  • Experience in a Commercial, Government, or Not-for-Profit Procurement function.
