Role: Senior Software Tester

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

As a Senior Software Tester, you'll lead the testing of enhancements for the company's SaaS software. You'll execute manual tests, collaborate closely with developers to resolve issues, and contribute to their manual test strategy. Your efforts will ensure the software meets high standards and is bug-free before release.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop test strategy and plans based on functional specifications and Maintain test data, materials, and tools
- Create and execute test suites and cases
- Collaborate with developers to identify and address software defects
- Work proactively with internal stakeholders to resolve issues
- Monitor product quality and escalate risks
- Contribute to test strategy and explore test automation and perform regression and performance testing
- Become an expert in the software's technical aspects
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in software testing roles
- Strong knowledge of testing techniques and methodologies
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Detail-oriented and systematic approach
- Self-starter with project ownership and drive
Desirable:
- Experience with test automation frameworks (desirable)
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ISEB/ISTQB) are a plus
- Background in accountancy, legal, financial, or professional services (desirable)
