Contract Manager
- Job Type: Temporary to Fixed Term (6 months)
- Location: West of England (including Bristol, Bath, and Somerset)
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00)
- Salary: £35000 + Car allowance of £2,400 (pro-rata) plus mileage at 18 pence per mile
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee a large-scale grounds maintenance contract across the West of England. This role involves managing additional contracts including cleaning, window cleaning, and waste removal. The successful candidate will have a strong background in client-side grounds maintenance contract management and a good understanding of amenity horticulture.
Day to Day of the role:
- Arrange and attend review meetings with contractors.
- Conduct regular meetings with contractors' staff to discuss performance and progress.
- Scrutinise and prepare KPI and other contract data for accurate reporting.
- Maintain detailed records and perform regular on-site monitoring of contractor performance.
- Ensure the delivery and standard of work meet the specified requirements.
- Work within the Estate Services team, engaging with colleagues and customers daily, providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of amenity horticulture.
- Proven experience in client-side grounds maintenance contract management.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation and managing contractor compliance.
- High level of attention to detail, particularly when handling data.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Excel & Word.
- Ability to interpret maps and specifications; experience with GIS mapping tools is desirable.
