An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join the team at Dash Pictures in Shoreditch, London.
About Dash:
Dash Pictures is a four-time Emmy nominated film and television production company founded in 2005, based in London. For over 15 years, we have developed and produced high-end, long-form features and series for international networks including BBC, Discovery, National Geographic, HBO, Disney, The CW and many more.
The Role:
The Accounts Assistant will work closely with the Production Management team, processing invoices, bookkeeping, assisting with budget and cost reporting processes, reconciling production spend etc...
The ideal candidate should have experience working in the TV industry, with an understanding of the production process, its challenges and finance requirements.
Role responsibilities include:
- General bookkeeping for the company
- Processing expenses, petty cash & credit card reconciliation
- Update monthly spreadsheets
- Managing the payroll process
- Working across the production budget in Excel, Google Sheets and Xero
- Liaising with production teams to assist and support the finance workflow of the production to ensure smooth running
- Assist in preparing VAT returns
The candidate should have:
- Solid experience ideally gained with production accounting in TV/Film
- Strong Excel and Xero skills
- An approachable and positive attitude, willing to help and support the teams.
- A strong attention to detail and be a great communicator
Contract length - 12 months with a 3 month probation period.
Salary - negotiable
Base: 5 dpw in our offices in Shoreditch, London.
