QHSE Manager

Our client, a prestigious name in the manufacturing and engineering sector, specialises in the design and production of high-precision electrical metering systems and instruments. They cater to an expansive industry spectrum including solar energy, wind power, and hydroelectric stations among others. They are now looking for a dedicated QHSE Manager to administer and enhance the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives within their organisation based in Totton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs to ensure workplace safety and compliance Critically administering the supply chain selection, management, and continuous review to uphold quality standards Conducting extensive risk assessments and implementing robust mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring the operation of an effective ISO accredited Quality System Ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance across all operations
  • Managing audits conducted by external accreditors and client-appointed organisations Investigating incidents and accidents to minimise recurrence and enhance safety measures
  • Performing management and product audits to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the Quality System
  • Monitoring and reporting on Safety Performance Indicators to manage and improve safety outcomes Collaborating with Production Managers, suppliers, and customers on specific quality matters

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in managing QHSE within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with IOSH OR NEBOSH standards
  • Hold a recognised diploma in Quality Management
  • In-depth knowledge of current health and safety regulations
  • Expertise in risk assessment and management
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to solve problems effectively
  • Self-starter, well-organised, and capable of building relationships at all levels
