Operations Manager

We're looking for an Operations Manager to join an established and reputable Fintech company due to an exciting stage of company growth.

Your role will involve optimising operational processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as a key liaison between departments to drive strategic projects and maintain high standards.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient business activities, including process improvements and resource management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to fintech regulations such as GDPR by developing and implementing compliance policies, conducting audits, and aligning operations with legal standards.
  • Cybersecurity: Work with the Technical Team to maintain robust cybersecurity measures in compliance with GDPR.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead significant projects aimed at technical and process enhancements. Coordinate with the Technical Team to align operational strategies with overall company goals.
  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with company standards, and manage procurement processes.
  • Team Leadership: Organise and lead meetings, ensuring effective communication and decision-making. Manage and mentor the operations team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks by regularly reviewing and updating risk management protocols.
  • Performance Reporting: Track operational performance against KPIs and provide regular reports to the Director of Operations and other key stakeholders.

As the ideal person, you will have proven experience as an Operations Manager within a regulated industry, in depth knowledge of GDPR and other compliance regulations, experience in supplier and contract management, demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast paced environment, and excellent organisational and project management skills.

This is a hybrid role working two days a week from their office in Bridgend.
