Sales Administrator part-time

My client are currently seeking a Sales Administrator to join their fun and friendly team in their busy office, based in Marsh Barton, Exeter.

They are looking for someone with excellent communication & listening skills, a keen eye for detail, strong administration and data entry skills. Also essential is a polite and friendly manner, positive attitude, lots of initiative and the ability to think on your feet and prioritise your workload. You will be working closely with the Sales Admin Manager & Supervisor in ensuring the smooth running of the department.

Your daily duties will include:

  • Providing first class service to all their customers over the phone and via email.
  • Providing accurate information to always keep the Field Sales Team up to date.
  • Dealing with customer enquiries via email and telephone, regarding their orders and any other general queries.
  • Communicating with couriers regarding to deliveries & collections.
  • Inputting and processing orders & credits in a timely manner.
  • Daily invoicing.
  • Opening new accounts on their in-house system.
  • Reporting on progress of orders and providing information for the Managers weekly meetings.
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure the whole sale process and display unit installations runs smoothly.
  • Working with the Sales Admin Manager and the Sales Admin team in sending out mailshots to all customers.
  • Forward planning to make sure the Sales Admin department is run as efficiently as possible.
  • Filing & Archiving.

The ideal candidate:

  • Computer literate, with a strong knowledge of Excel and Outlook. Can manage multiple inboxes with strong customer service skills alongside the sales admin team.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong and confident communication skills, both written and verbal across all departments, customers and the Field team.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage your own workload.
  • Have a flexible and upbeat approach to your workload and time management, ensuring all work is completed and deadlines are met.
  • Excellent data entry skills.
  • This is a very fast-paced role and would require someone who works well under pressure.
  • Overtime is a necessary requirement.

The Role:

  • Location: Exeter
  • Type: Part-time
  • Permanent
  • Hours: 20 per week, 12pm to 4pm on a Wednesday and 8am - 4pm on a Thursday and Friday.
  • Holiday: 21 days, increasing to 25 depending on length of service
  • Reporting to: Sales Admin Manager
