SEN Teaching Assistant - Temporary to Permanent

Position Details:
- Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Plymouth, United Kingdom
- Salary: £85 per day
- Contract: Full-time (5 days a week)
- Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, both inside the classroom and during specialised sessions.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with specific needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEND is highly desirable.
- Empathy: A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Patience: Ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student requirements.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.
