Position: Spares Buyer
Location: Gloucester
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure spare parts and materials from reliable suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and deliveries.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to identify and fulfill parts requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of spares to prevent operational downtime.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in procurement, specifically in spare parts buying.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
