Mechanical Design Engineer
- Annual Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, plus paid overtime

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global leader in special purpose machinery manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced engineers and recent graduates to work on world-class machinery, with fantastic training and development opportunities. The role includes a unique overtime payment scheme, offering the potential for significant earnings on top of your base salary.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Design and develop machinery using Solidworks, ensuring all specifications meet the highest standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet customer requirements.
- Conduct design reviews and present technical details to stakeholders.
- Manage projects from concept through to completion, including testing and validation.
- Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing and assembly teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in sheet metal or machinery design is advantageous, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD software.
- Must have a driving licence and access to own vehicle due to the site location.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
