Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global leader in special purpose machinery manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced engineers and recent graduates to work on world-class machinery, with fantastic training and development opportunities. The role includes a unique overtime payment scheme, offering the potential for significant earnings on top of your base salary.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and develop machinery using Solidworks, ensuring all specifications meet the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct design reviews and present technical details to stakeholders.
  • Manage projects from concept through to completion, including testing and validation.
  • Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing and assembly teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in sheet metal or machinery design is advantageous, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD software.
  • Must have a driving licence and access to own vehicle due to the site location.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
