Key Responsibilities

  • From Entry Level to GCSE and/or Level 2 equivalents, teach science to pupils..
  • Create customised lesson plans for every student
  • Make your classroom a secure and encouraging place by implementing a trauma-informed strategy
  • Work together with the multidisciplinary staff at the school to assist pupils
  • Motivate pupils with enjoyable and interesting classes
  • Encourage a welcoming and upbeat school environment
  • Track and evaluate student's development and give regular feedback.
  • Involve caretakers and parents to create enduring home-school alliances

Qualifications and experience:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Proven experience teaching Science at Entry Level to GCSE and/or Level 2 equivalents
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • 2 proven professional references
  • Have a valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (willing to get one)
  • Strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health approaches to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and resilient nature
  • Adaptable teaching approach
  • Passion for supporting students with SEMH and SEND
  • Good classroom management skills
