Key Responsibilities
- From Entry Level to GCSE and/or Level 2 equivalents, teach science to pupils..
- Create customised lesson plans for every student
- Make your classroom a secure and encouraging place by implementing a trauma-informed strategy
- Work together with the multidisciplinary staff at the school to assist pupils
- Motivate pupils with enjoyable and interesting classes
- Encourage a welcoming and upbeat school environment
- Track and evaluate student's development and give regular feedback.
- Involve caretakers and parents to create enduring home-school alliances
Qualifications and experience:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Proven experience teaching Science at Entry Level to GCSE and/or Level 2 equivalents
- Have the right to work in the UK
- 2 proven professional references
- Have a valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (willing to get one)
- Strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health approaches to teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and resilient nature
- Adaptable teaching approach
- Passion for supporting students with SEMH and SEND
- Good classroom management skills
