Responsibilities of the Family Law Mediator
- Work with couples/families to resolve financial and childcare related disputes taking an amicable agreement approach.
- Assess couples' suitability for joint representation.
- Obtain and collate relevant financial and other evidence and client reports.
- Provide legal advice and facilitate discussions for clients.
- Obtain expert reports.
Requirements for a successful Family Law Mediator
- Previous proven private family law and collaborative law experience.
- Excellent commercial awareness with a thorough understanding of the legal market.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise.
- Able to take a structured approach and framework.
- Commercially minded and forward thinker.
