he All-weather Lifeboat Centre, located in Poole, is our client's in-house boat building facility, which integrates every stage of the lifeboat build, repair, and refit under one roof. With a full schedule of Lifeboat Refits lined up, it's an opportune moment to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constructing, installing, modifying, and maintaining marine structures and equipment for all lifeboat classes
- Working with epoxy composite construction and repair
- Vessel strip down and assembly
- Deck fit-out and the assembly of components
- Fabricating composite parts
A multi-skilled attitude and proficiency in epoxy laminating would be highly beneficial. You will have access to a clean, organised, and safe work environment with all tools, materials, and PPE provided to undertake your work effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work to engineering drawings and standardised work safely and efficiently
- Experience in boat production, marine refits, repairs, and working with epoxy composite materials
- Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC qualifications, a time-served apprenticeship, or equivalent experience
- Capability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team to ensure lifeboats are built and refitted on time and within budget, meeting stringent quality standards
