Temporary 3 days Part Time Researcher role - London

A leading global law firm has a new temporary part-time job opportunity for a Researcher, based in their London office.

You will be part of the global Research & Business intelligence team, using a range of research resources to deliver in-depth and solution-focused legal and company research to legal and business services teams within the UK. You will be sup porting colleagues in the EMEA, US and Asia Pacific regions.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive person with 3+ years of research experience in a large law firm or corporate library and be knowledgeable about business and legal research resources.

You should possess a strong customer service orientation, the ability to work independently as well as part of a firm-wide research team and must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work with individuals at all organisational levels.

Key job responsibilities will include:

  • Provide reference and research advice and support to internal and external clients as part of a global research team, using a range of subscription and available resources
  • Deliver legal and business research solutions to enable internal clients to quickly make informed decisions
  • Assist the current awareness teams to scope and set up alerts on legal, client and industry topics.
  • Build working relationships with stakeholders and promote the Research & Business Intelligence team and its role within the firm
  • Contribute to collection development processes including participation in product trials, and product reviews.
  • Source material from external libraries when required.
  • Maintain knowledge of available resources and content to facilitate effective research
  • Manage the workflow of research tasks, including scoping and understanding requests, and negotiating deadlines
  • Contribute to R&BI projects as required
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging search techniques and technologies, including AI, and the implications for legal and business research strategies
