Job Purpose
- Provide high level oversight of a busy audit function, ensuring effective communication on all aspects of audit compliance across the firm
- Review hot and cold audit and assurance files
- Identify new audit guidance and processes in line with the ever-evolving auditing standards, emerging trends, relevant issues, and review findings
- Manage relationships with external audit reviewers
- Lead liaison with the ICAEW on audit compliance matters, including managing regulatory visits and implementing recommendations
- Monitor audit training needs and champion professional development and skill sharing across the firm
- Plan and perform on-site audit due diligence visits and following up on post-completion file reviews
- Set an example as a hands-on Director

The Successful Candidate
- A proven track record operating at Audit RI or Audit Senior Manager level within an ICAEW or ACCA registered firm
- Technically proficient, with extensive UK external audit experience
- Strong leadership skills with good people management skills
- Excellent communication and advisory skills
- Sound attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Self-motivated, hands-on and highly organised
- A team player that enjoys encouraging others to reach higher
- Constructive mentor to junior team members
- Confident in networking and representing the firm in a professional manner
