About the Role:

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant school community. In this role, you will work closely with passionate educators to support our amazing students, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Tower Hamlets, you will:

  • Provide focused assistance to students with SEMH needs, including ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors.
  • Support students across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to their various educational needs.
  • Utilize your expertise to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, SEN, or child development are desirable.
