Transport Operator
My client, based in Stanford-Le-Hope, is a leading road haulage company, providing service-led solutions to the supply chain industry. Due to company growth, they are now looking for a transport operator to join their fast-paced and dynamic team, playing a crucial role in their traffic branch, specialising in the movement of containers.
Key Responsibilities
- Arranging the release, collection, and delivery of containers.
- Overseeing operations, booking VBS slots, dealing with vehicle breakdowns.
- Amending the routing plan if and when needed, resolving any route issues should they arise.
- Answering calls, liaising directly with the drivers, colleagues, and customers to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Generation of Tacho infringements.
- General Traffic Office Administration Support.
Requirements
- Container experience is mandatory.
- Strong IT skills, VBS and Destin8 knowledge is required, TOPS experience is desirable.
- Previous administrative and transport coordination experience.
- Great communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, confident, with a strong can-do attitude.
Company Remunerations
- Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience.
- Monday-Friday 8am-6pm
- 28 days holiday.
